Windchill API Developer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking an experienced Windchill API Developer to join their remote engineering team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to design and build critical integrations connecting PTC Windchill with enterprise systems across manufacturing and engineering workflows.

This is a 100% remote role open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. You'll own the technical integration layer between Windchill and broader enterprise systems, working closely with cross-functional partners to translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate integrations connecting PTC Windchill with ERP, MES, CAD, and other engineering and manufacturing systems
• Own the technical integration layer between Windchill and enterprise systems landscape
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered, maintainable solutions
• Conduct code reviews and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate team capabilities
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Ensure integrations maintain reliability and performance in production environments

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 6+ years of PLM integration experience with strong focus on Windchill
• Hands-on experience with Info*Engine and Windchill Java API
• Proven experience designing PLM-to-ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle)
• Working knowledge of CAD integration patterns
• Experience with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, OIC, or SAP CPI
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Windchill data model
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation capabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• PTC Windchill certifications
• Experience with ThingWorx or IIoT integration
• Exposure to API management platforms
• Familiarity with event-driven and Kafka-based integration patterns
• Experience operating Windchill in cloud environments

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $90,000–$110,000 annually. This is a full-time, direct W2 position.
