Commercial Lawyer (Temporary)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential digital marketplace organization seeking a Commercial Lawyer for a temporary engagement based in Aix-en-Provence, France (hybrid). This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established international platform serving multiple European markets.

You will report to the Chief Legal Officer and provide practical, business-focused legal counsel across European and UK operations. The role involves close collaboration with Product, Technology, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, and HR teams in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders across the UK and Europe on commercial, legal, and regulatory matters
• Manage legal escalations and disputes arising from platform operations, assessing risk and recommending pragmatic solutions
• Review and negotiate commercial agreements including technology, marketing, procurement, and supplier contracts
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments across the UK and EU, assess business impact, and support implementation of required changes
• Identify legal and regulatory risks in day-to-day operations and implement appropriate mitigation measures and process improvements
• Assist with legal project management and coordination across multiple jurisdictions
• Prepare guidance, templates, and training materials to improve legal awareness and support compliance

What We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer with at least 2 years of experience at a reputable law firm or in-house
• Fluent in English (additional European languages advantageous but not essential)
• Strong generalist background with expertise in commercial and privacy law
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Pragmatic and commercial approach to legal matters
• Comfortable working in an international, multicultural environment
• Demonstrates initiative and enjoys improving processes and identifying practical solutions
• Interest in legal technology and AI, with willingness to adopt efficiency tools
• Ideally, experience with fast-growing companies as external advisor or in-house counsel

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €75,000 - €95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
