Senior AI Engineer – Notebooks

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential observability and cloud-monitoring organization seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build the next generation of AI-assisted data analysis workflows. You will lead the design and delivery of AI-powered product experiences within collaborative notebook environments, developing systems that combine deterministic platform capabilities with LLM-powered features to deliver trustworthy and explainable outcomes for end users.

You will partner closely with product management to translate customer problems, adoption signals, and roadmap goals into concrete technical decisions. Your work will include building experiences that enable platform capabilities to operate within third-party AI platforms, agents, and conversational environments. You'll provide technical leadership and mentorship while helping establish AI engineering best practices across the team.

This role requires owning production systems end-to-end—you will build and operate reliable backend services that run in the critical path of customer deployments and participate in on-call rotation for those services.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with Go, Python, or similar systems programming languages
• Hands-on experience delivering production AI-powered products and customer-facing experiences using LLM technologies
• A strong product mindset—you can connect technical decisions to customer outcomes and business impact
• Experience building reliable systems that manage model non-determinism through evaluation frameworks, testing strategies, and operational excellence
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment with in-office collaboration balanced with remote flexibility
