Forward Deployment Engineer, AI – Canada Remote

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a Forward Deployment Engineer, AI to join their Professional Services team in Canada (remote). This is a high-impact role at the intersection of AI implementation and customer success, where you'll deploy cutting-edge voice AI systems to healthcare clients while continuously optimizing platform performance and reliability.

Our client operates in the clinical communication space, serving hospitals, health systems, and medical practices across North America. You'll be working with production AI voice agents that directly impact patient care coordination and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy AI voice agent solutions for new healthcare customers, managing the full rollout process
• Build and maintain evaluation suites to validate AI behavior, catch regressions, and tune prompts across customer deployments
• Develop new features and implement fixes to the core AI product platform
• Optimize system latency, inference costs, and implement hallucination guardrails
• Run model evaluation, benchmarking, and establish observability frameworks across the product
• Monitor cost controls, usage patterns, and ensure security and PHI handling compliance
• Partner with Product and Customer Success teams to translate customer requirements into validated, working deployments
• Own customer go-live processes, post-launch monitoring, and production issue debugging
• Streamline and automate onboarding workflows to reduce engineering effort for each new customer

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python backend development skills
• 1+ years of production experience working with LLM APIs and deploying GenAI systems at scale
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, preferably AWS
• Background working in regulated or security-conscious environments (healthcare experience highly valued)
• Product-minded systems thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and executive-level communication
• Ability to translate non-technical customer requirements into working technical configurations
• Experience with voice or conversational AI is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in Canada

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $165,000 - $195,000 CAD per year, based on experience and qualifications.
