Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential nonprofit organization seeking a working student to support their information security team in Bonn. In this role, you will contribute to audits, security processes, and IT security projects while gaining hands-on experience across multiple facets of information security.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating audits, information security forums, and emergency response exercises
- Maintaining and updating security processes and policies to ensure clarity and current relevance
- Supporting the operation of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) and understanding key influencing factors
- Contributing to security projects involving AI in IT security, Zero Trust architectures, and cloud security—from research through prototyping
- Reviewing and processing central security information as part of continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with updates to emergency plans, security guidelines, and operational handbooks
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Current enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of networks and operating systems
- Interest in ISO 27001 standards and Information Security Management Systems
- Initial exposure to data protection and information security regulations (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Self-motivation and eagerness to learn
This is a working student position in Bonn with flexible scheduling (15-20 hours per week) that accommodates your studies. The role offers hybrid work options and is currently limited through the end of December.
