(Senior) Finance Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded agricultural technology organization in Berlin that is driving measurable environmental impact across European food supply chains. Our talent team is searching for a Finance Manager to own the complete finance function for this fast-growing operation.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end finance role reporting directly to the COO. You will manage HGB accounting, financial operations, statutory reporting, and audits while continuously improving processes through automation and AI tools. You will oversee a working student and have genuine ownership over how finance operates day-to-day.

Responsibilities

• Own HGB-compliant accounting including month-end and year-end close, delivering accurate financial statements with external accountants
• Run financial operations: accounts receivable and payable, tax-compliant invoicing, payment runs, expense flows, and cash management
• Manage statutory reporting and tax matters (annual financial statements, VAT) in collaboration with external tax advisors
• Prepare and manage the annual audit: audit files, documentation, and auditor communication
• Support controlling and strategic finance: management reporting, analyses, and financial models that inform business decisions
• Drive implementation of AI-based finance processes to build an efficient, state-of-the-art finance setup
• Manage and develop a finance working student

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance roles
• Solid HGB accounting experience, including month-end and year-end close
• Hands-on experience in financial operations: invoicing, payments, expense management, cash management
• High attention to detail, structured approach, and ability to manage multiple short- and long-term deadlines
• Highly autonomous with a hands-on mentality; comfortable owning the full breadth of the finance function
• Track record of driving process innovation and automation; confident using AI tools in finance workflows
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
• Based in Berlin or able to be present in the Berlin office regularly
