About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential multinational organization seeking a Senior HR Generalist for a 2-year contract based in Berlin, Germany. Our client operates across multiple international locations and requires hands-on HR support for their German operations.
This role offers the opportunity to manage the full employee lifecycle within an established framework, working closely with both local teams and a centralized HR function.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of employee administration throughout the complete employee lifecycle for German offices
- Coordinate employee onboarding in partnership with recruitment and relevant departments
- Process onboarding and separation documentation in accordance with German regulations and company policies
- Oversee absence management and leave administration, coordinating documentation for payroll processing
- Support training program coordination and implementation
- Assist with performance evaluation program monitoring and implementation
- Localize and implement HR policies while maintaining compliance with German employment regulations
- Advise employees and managers on company processes and policies
- Manage relocation and transfer processes including visa applications and payroll transitions
- Maintain HRIS integrity and employee file management
- Generate standard HR reports including turnover and benefits metrics
- Administer benefits programs in compliance with local regulations
- Provide support on employee relations matters including grievances and disciplinary procedures
- Deliver operational HR support across German office locations
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of HR experience within a multinational company environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
- Strong understanding of benefits and compensation administration
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday
- Ability to maintain professionalism and handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently across organizational boundaries
- Positive attitude with resilience and ability to manage high volume workload efficiently
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve
