Senior Manager, Motion Designer (EU)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health and wellness organization seeking a Senior Manager, Motion Designer to lead motion design strategy and execution across the European region. This is a fully remote role requiring native or fluent German language skills alongside excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, animate, and edit motion graphics and video content for upper- and mid-funnel campaigns from concept through final polish, optimized for YouTube and Meta platforms
• Manage multiple high-volume projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards against tight deadlines
• Support ideation for YouTube-first creative concepts based on strategic briefs and inspiration
• Identify testing opportunities within motion design to improve creative velocity and ad iteration speed
• Actively use YouTube metrics and performance reporting tools to inform creative decisions and revisions
• Evaluate and implement new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted animation processes, to improve production efficiency
• Serve as the final expert voice on motion design decisions, providing feedback and quality oversight on all video assets
• Manage relationships with agencies and freelancers, ensuring speed and quality standards are met
• Mentor and manage junior team members
• Build reusable systems and templates that accelerate production and reduce costs
• Act as brand guardian for all motion design work, reviewing and elevating every asset before release

What We're Looking For

• 5-7+ years of hands-on motion design and video editing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end craft
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-volume projects against fast-moving deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Expert-level proficiency in motion design and editing tools (After Effects, Premiere, or comparable software)
• Deep experience creating YouTube-first video content with working knowledge of Meta platform optimization
• Comfort using performance data and reporting tools to inform and iterate on creative decisions in real time
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted animation tools and genuine interest in evolving production workflows
• Native or fluent German speaker (required) with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong understanding of the German-speaking market, including cultural trends, consumer behavior, and localization best practices
• Experience managing or mentoring junior designers, freelancers, or agency partners while remaining hands-on
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Experience localizing creative assets by adapting copy, pacing, messaging, and cultural nuance while maintaining brand consistency
• Experience in DTC, subscription, or health and wellness brands is a plus
