About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential API management platform provider operating across Latin America. Our client is seeking an Associate Product Manager to drive the evolution of their AI Gateway product. This is a fully remote position based in Brazil.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build product in an emerging market with short feedback cycles and constant evidence-based learning. You'll work alongside engineering, UX, commercial, and marketing teams to understand customer pain points around AI adoption with proper governance, and transform those insights into prioritized opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer and prospect pain points, needs, and expectations; map and prioritize product evolution opportunities aligned with organizational objectives
• Lead discovery processes in partnership with UX and engineering — organizing information, conducting and synthesizing conversations, and transforming evidence into decisions
• Write business specifications, requirements, and implementation risks in the form of user stories, organized in a prioritized backlog
• Validate development team deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications
• Monitor product metrics — usage, adoption, and success of features and initiatives
• Manage operational tasks that keep the product running smoothly: requests from other departments, release communications, and product documentation
• Manage expectations and prioritize demands with other departments: commercial, support, marketing, etc.
• Build and communicate the product roadmap, including delivery update announcements
• Communicate product vision and strategy to the development team and stakeholders
• Support definition of strategy, objectives, and Key Results, and go-to-market activities — including enablement of Sales, Customer Success, and Support on product updates

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of product discovery techniques
• Knowledge of agile methods and ability to create user stories
• Capacity to gather business requirements and organize backlogs
• Comfort navigating technical topics: APIs, authentication and authorization, integration (no programming knowledge required, but must feel comfortable discussing architecture with engineering)
• English proficiency for reading and writing

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience or solid career in engineering, data, UX, support, customer success, or consulting with interest in building a product career
