Senior Full Stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital agency in search of a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their remote-first team. Our client works with marquee brands across media, retail, hospitality, and enterprise technology, delivering end-to-end digital products and platforms.

In this role, you will architect, build, and scale high-performance web applications from the database layer through to the browser. You'll own end-to-end solutions across the entire stack, designing API contracts and data models in TypeScript and building performant frontends in React and Next.js. Type safety runs through your work on both sides of the wire, giving you confidence to evolve complex, business-oriented systems.

You'll model relational and non-relational data, craft pixel-perfect accessible interfaces that perform under real-world conditions, and implement effective caching strategies at the edge. Whether you're optimizing a database query, shaping a REST API, or fine-tuning a front-end bundle, you move fluently across the stack.

Depending on your experience and project alignment, your work may focus on headless CMS architecture, enterprise publishing platforms, performance optimization, design systems, and SEO-focused front-end experiences—or on complex web applications, stateful front-end systems, API and backend architecture, real-time functionality, and end-to-end product feature development.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of key product features, from concept to deployment and beyond, serving as a crucial voice in shaping the technical approach and making critical architectural decisions
• Architect and build dynamic web experiences that hold up under the demands of real users and real editorial teams, working across the stack to make the right call at every layer
• Elevate the team's velocity and craft by introducing and socializing tools and practices that raise the technical bar, proactively identifying bottlenecks in build processes, state management, content modeling, and implementing solutions that make the entire team more effective
• Bridge the gap between ambitious creative vision and technical reality, collaborating directly with designers and strategists to challenge assumptions, explore what's possible, and build solutions that are elegant under the hood and for the end-user
• Deliver a tangible feature for a live client project from day one, building immediate momentum
• Within six months, own and deliver a key feature end-to-end and improve a core performance metric by at least 10%
• Create reusable components or processes that are adopted by peers, enhancing overall team efficiency
• Spearhead significant project phases from concept to launch within twelve months, on time and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js for building performant, type-safe full stack applications
• Expertise in both relational and non-relational database design and data modeling
• Proven ability to design and implement REST APIs, caching strategies, and edge optimization
• Experience with headless CMS architecture, enterprise publishing platforms, or complex stateful web applications
• Deep understanding of front-end performance optimization, accessibility standards, and SEO best practices
• You think in systems and components, not just pages, with genuine satisfaction from designing React architectures or data schemas that are intuitive and performant
• You're a proactive problem-solver who thrives on digging into ambiguity, asking "why," and prototyping solutions to complex challenges
• You see the full stack as a single, interconnected challenge and are comfortable moving between polished front-ends and back-end logic, API routes, or CMS configuration
• You are a natural collaborator and translator, able to explain technical constraints to designers and strategic goals to engineers
• Experience working on client-facing projects in an agency or consultancy environment is a plus
