Implementation Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for an Implementation Engineer. This is a fully remote position based in the United States, offering the opportunity to deploy critical communications infrastructure within hospital systems and healthcare facilities nationwide.

As an Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical planning, architecture, and deployment of on-premise communications solutions. You'll work directly with healthcare organizations to ensure successful system integration, staff training, and ongoing technical optimization.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical planning and implementation of communications solutions in customer healthcare environments
• Integrate solutions with external systems including phone systems, nurse call systems, physiological monitoring systems, EHR platforms, and messaging middleware
• Plan, architect, install, configure, test, and validate communications solutions end-to-end
• Support business process workshops to design communications workflow solutions
• Configure databases, install system software, and perform comprehensive system testing
• Transfer knowledge to customer technical staff through training of system administrators and help desk personnel
• Create test plans, troubleshoot customer environments, and optimize system performance
• Collaborate with clinical leads to gather workflow requirements and architect databases meeting clinical and technical specifications
• Coordinate activities across internal cross-functional teams
• Communicate project status to stakeholders in a timely, consistent, and clear manner
• Maintain security measures to safeguard information and protect confidentiality of medical records

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot networking issues

Preferred:

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting modern virtualized data center infrastructures
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios or Zabbix
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or similar
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and security fundamentals
• Experience with network load balancers (Citrix ADC/NetScaler or F5 Big IP)
• Understanding of structured implementation methodologies with emphasis on end-to-end testing of complex systems
• Prior experience integrating nurse call and/or patient monitoring systems
• Ability to deploy technology in the healthcare market
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
