Technical Consultant, Mid-Market

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization that is transforming how businesses manage corporate spend and financial operations. Our talent team is seeking a Technical Consultant, Mid-Market to join their post-sales organization and serve as a technical advisor to mid-market customers across the United States.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between customers and internal product teams, designing and guiding financial system integrations that drive measurable business outcomes. You'll partner with Customer Activation and Account Management to support high-value implementations, assess technical requirements, and ensure customers achieve fast time-to-value through scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams during implementations and expansion projects, guiding integration design, configuration, and system architecture
• Partner with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to assess customer requirements and propose scalable solutions involving ERP, HRIS, and API integrations
• Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to support technical workstreams and ensure successful customer outcomes
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer systems and workflows, and recommend optimal integration approaches
• Act as a subject matter expert on accounting and HRIS integration partners, advocating for integration development aligned with customer needs
• Troubleshoot integration blockers and guide customers through complex configuration decisions
• Contribute to internal documentation and tooling that scales the organization's ability to support integration use cases
• Influence product roadmap by channeling customer feedback and pain points to Product and Engineering teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
• 2+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in a SaaS or fintech environment
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle Fusion, and understanding of finance/accounting workflows (SAP S/4HANA or Sage Intacct expertise highly preferred)
• Comfort working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture, with the ability to explain technical concepts to finance and operations stakeholders
• Strong communication skills: able to translate complex technical solutions into business value and guide customers toward scalable approaches
• Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
• Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action and high level of ownership
• Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; adaptable and resourceful in scaling contexts
