Data Lead (Advisory)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services consultancy seeking a Data Lead for their Advisory practice. In this role, you will:

• Own and evolve the private market data model with a deep understanding of data lineage and architecture design principles
• Maintain and manage system integration inventories, staying ahead of technical capabilities and innovations
• Collaborate with technical teams to design robust integration frameworks and support enterprise performance management solutions
• Function as a trusted client advisor, simplifying technical concepts around data warehousing and BI/reporting for diverse audiences
• Support business growth by translating complex requirements into technical solutions and contributing to sales engagements
• Oversee scoping and design of scalable data migration initiatives
• Facilitate effective collaboration between advisory consultants and technology teams to drive successful project delivery

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a technically skilled, business-savvy data professional passionate about alternative investments and private markets. The ideal candidate will bring:

• Proven experience in data modelling, data architecture, or data management within consulting or technology contexts
• Strong knowledge of private market data and alternative investment applications
• Hands-on experience with system integration planning and managing connector/API inventories
• Familiarity with data warehousing, BI tools, and data lineage methodologies
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to advise both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Skilled in scoping and designing complex data migrations and integrations (coding not required)
• A sales-minded approach with experience supporting technical sales processes
• Collaborative, proactive mindset and adept at navigating between business and technical teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Background in consulting, financial services, or technology supporting alternatives/private markets
• Experience with BPM/EPM solutions
• Knowledge of cloud data architectures and modern data stack technologies
