Data Scientist (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data science consultancy seeking a Data Scientist to join their Munich team. In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement data models and algorithms independently for client-specific solutions, identifying and analyzing problems within an analytical framework
• Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards, working across data platforms, visualization tools, and machine learning products
• Work on complex projects and datasets, analyzing business problems and translating them into data science solutions
• Collaborate closely with clients to analyze their challenges and communicate results effectively
• Work across multiple technology stacks including Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, ELK, and Spark
• Mentor junior data scientists and facilitate knowledge transfer within the team
• Engage with the machine learning community through hackathons and continuous learning opportunities

What We're Looking For

• University degree with quantitative or business background, such as Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, or Business Administration
• Relevant experience in data science, data management, or development of production systems
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, Rust, PySpark, or SQL
• Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals, including production applications such as NLP, recommender systems, time series analysis, and computer vision
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
• Strong communication skills in both German and English
• Eagerness to learn, team-oriented approach, and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
