Senior Consultant Digital Analytics (m/w/d), Düsseldorf

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital consulting organization seeking a Senior Consultant for Digital Analytics to join their team in Düsseldorf. In this role, you will build measurement frameworks that support real business decisions in complex B2B environments.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Owning analytics implementations from KPI definition through technical specification, ensuring every metric ties to a business decision
• Building and maintaining tracking setups in Google Tag Manager, including server-side configurations with proper consent management implementation
• Enforcing data quality standards through validation, debugging, and documentation—identifying setups that produce plausible but incorrect data
• Working beyond standard analytics interfaces with BigQuery, SQL, and advanced analytics platforms to deliver focused insights rather than overwhelming dashboards
• Defining reporting logic, metrics, and dashboard specifications in collaboration with data and business intelligence teams
• Connecting marketing data with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) to track lead quality and offline conversions in long B2B sales cycles
• Implementing privacy-compliant measurement through consent management platforms (Usercentrics, Cookiebot, OneTrust) in coordination with client legal teams
• Managing multiple client accounts within agreed budgets, flagging scope issues proactively
• Translating technical concepts for executive stakeholders and delivering analysis that drives changed behavior
• Coaching colleagues and collaborating across search, performance marketing, and data teams with clear documentation

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with:

• Minimum 4 years of substantial experience in web analytics and tracking with direct accountability for production implementations
• Deep expertise in Google Tag Manager (client-side and server-side), understanding technical fundamentals like HTTP-only cookies and same-site subdomain endpoints
• Practical experience with Consent Mode v2, consent management platform integration, and common misconfiguration patterns
• Strong command of GA4, BigQuery exports, and SQL—knowing where standard interfaces become unreliable
• Ability to define metrics from business requirements before implementation, explaining which decisions each metric supports
• Understanding of B2B data realities: long sales cycles, small sample sizes, lead quality over volume, and CRM as source of truth
• Experience navigating client IT constraints (slow deployment cycles, limited access, DNS configuration delays) while still delivering results
• Hands-on proficiency with Excel and ability to work independently after gathering necessary input from teams
• Strong communication skills in German and professional English
• Experience inheriting and remediating existing analytics setups is highly valued

Beneficial experience includes: B2B sectors such as manufacturing, industrial goods, machinery, or wholesale; SEO reporting; marketing mix modeling; or dbt.
