AI Automations Engeneer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital marketing consultancy seeking an AI Automations Engineer to join their team in Waldkirchen. In this role, you will build data infrastructure, integrations, and automation systems that power strategic consulting services for e-commerce clients.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing data pipelines, integrations, and automated workflows that support marketing intelligence operations
• Developing LLM-based tools and agents for media buying, content generation, and customer retention initiatives
• Bringing AI capabilities into existing marketing workflows for both client projects and internal processes
• Ensuring systems deliver measurable business impact and are actively used in production environments
• Integrating with third-party APIs including marketing platforms, data sources, and AI services
• Building tools that combine data from multiple sources into cohesive, actionable reporting

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with at least 2 years of hands-on experience building production-grade automations, integrations, or technical workflows. You must have shipped systems that real users rely on—not just prototypes or side projects.

Required technical skills:

• Proficiency in Python or Node.js with the ability to write maintainable, production-quality code
• Practical experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar), including building tools or agents that handle error cases, cost optimization, and quality assurance
• Strong API integration skills: REST, webhooks, OAuth, rate limiting, pagination—even when documentation is incomplete
• Experience designing data pipelines that merge multiple sources, model data cleanly, and enable effective reporting
• Ability to work autonomously and determine what needs to be built without detailed specifications
