Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization in Saarlouis that is seeking a Sales Trainee to develop into a technical sales professional. In this role, you will:

• Learn the company's products, markets, and customer base comprehensively as part of the sales team
• Support the Sales Director with operational and strategic customer relationship development
• Prepare and participate in customer visits, trade shows, and industry events
• Create presentations, sales materials, and decision-making documents
• Accompany experienced sales staff during customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations
• Manage demanding customers and projects, gradually taking on independent customer responsibility
• Support the development and expansion of existing customer relationships
• Identify potential new clients and actively contribute to customer acquisition
• Assist with quote preparation and follow-up processes
• Analyze customer requirements and develop appropriate solutions with technical departments
• Monitor market and competitive trends to identify new sales opportunities
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, project management, and procurement teams
• Progressively take on independent projects and sales responsibilities throughout the trainee program
• Build your own network of customers and business partners
• Travel to meet customers on-site within Germany and internationally

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with:

• Successfully completed degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable technical field
• Initial practical experience through internships, working student positions, or thesis work in sales, technical environments, or project management
• Communicative, committed, and persuasive personality
• Enthusiasm for sales, customer contact, and building long-term business relationships
• Confident and professional demeanor
• Ability to deliver presentations confidently and inspire people about technical solutions
• Negotiation-level English skills; additional languages are advantageous
• Enjoyment of travel and international customer interactions
• Motivation to take on responsibility and contribute your own ideas
• Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style
• High willingness to learn and desire for professional and personal development
