Senior Solutions Architect, Higher Education and Research, AI and HPC

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization at the forefront of accelerated computing and AI innovation. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a technical bridge between cutting-edge research institutions and next-generation computing platforms. This role is based in Germany and focuses on higher education and research partnerships in AI and high-performance computing.

As the primary technical contact for academic and research partners, you will work directly with leading scientists, researchers, and university faculty to advance computational science at supercomputing scale.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leading research laboratories, academic institutions, and university faculty as a trusted technical advisor, developing deep understanding of their scientific objectives and driving collaborative research projects
• Accelerate high-impact scientific workloads by integrating accelerated computing frameworks, libraries, and software tools into research initiatives
• Support researchers in amplifying their impact through publications, conference presentations, and technical content development
• Deliver hands-on training sessions, workshops, lectures, and technical demonstrations on GPU-accelerated computing and AI platforms
• Mentor power users and cultivate technical champions within the research community
• Track emerging research trends and translate gaps between researcher requirements and available solutions into prototypical implementations
• Provide direct feedback to engineering teams based on real-world research needs
• Maintain deep domain expertise while staying current across the full computing platform: GPUs, CPUs, networking infrastructure, and software stacks
• Travel periodically for face-to-face meetings with research partners, though remote collaboration tools are heavily utilized

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Graduate degree from a leading university in a STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience at the intersection of HPC and AI, running scientific workloads at scale on multi-node GPU systems
• Demonstrated experience applying machine learning methods to computational science problems
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to build lasting relationships with academic and research stakeholders
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences
• Action-oriented, analytical, and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable working in heavily multi-tasked environments
• Fluent in English (both written and oral)
• Proficient in Python programming
• Based in or willing to relocate to Germany

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD from a leading university in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of research in computational science combined with AI
• Track record of thought leadership including high-impact publications and presentations at academic conferences
• Understanding of scientific policy engagement, grant processes, or national/European research program structures
• Experience with GPU-accelerated computing platforms and libraries for scientific computing
• Familiarity with CUDA programming and accelerated computing frameworks
