Manager, Client Finance

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential professional services organization in their search for a Manager, Client Finance. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to oversee financial management and forecasting for a diverse client portfolio while leading a team in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Our talent team is seeking an experienced finance professional who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, managing everything from month-end close activities to audit coordination and team mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise monthly project accounting efforts, prepare and lead status meetings with project managers, and maintain financial tracking systems
• Manage new contract engagements, assess project components, and ensure accuracy of project setup and budgeting
• Guide the Client Finance team on project tracking, reviewing variances between actual spend and budgets
• Report and present project financials to stakeholders and project leads
• Oversee client setup including MSA review for rebates and discounts; collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams on contracting
• Manage intercompany transactions, cost allocations, and scope changes across business units
• Review project revenues for compliance with client contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare monthly project revenue forecasts and variance analysis compared to budget and plan
• Manage client invoicing, reconcile issues, follow up on past due accounts receivable, and ensure adherence to invoicing guidelines
• Oversee monthly client accruals and consolidations
• Review subcontractor expenses and manage subcontractor agreements
• Analyze general ledger account reconciliations for GAAP compliance and forecast expenses in coordination with cross-functional teams
• Lead annual budget preparation for specific P&L line items
• Manage audit timelines, prepare supporting documentation, and coordinate with audit teams
• Identify process improvements for cost savings and operational efficiencies
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for executive management
• Mentor and develop direct reports and junior staff

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, finance, or business
• 6+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience
• 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Agency or professional services background
• Month-end close experience
• Revenue recognition expertise

• Client services or client-facing experience

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai reflects the compensation structure for placed candidates. The client's target range for this role is $110,000–$145,000 USD annually, plus discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, and comprehensive paid time off.
