Workday Payroll Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking a Workday Payroll Consultant to join their enterprise solutions practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale Workday implementations for a global client base while advancing your career with a people-first employer.

In this role, you'll implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions, working both collaboratively with team members and independently to manage your own workload. You'll partner directly with clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions aligned to their needs, while mentoring junior colleagues and sharing your expertise.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Workday Payroll solutions for enterprise-scale clients
• Understand customer requirements and design solutions that meet their business needs
• Work independently and confidently to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
• Support and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
• Deliver work to meet defined Service Level Agreements in Application Management Services
• Rotate through various Workday delivery services, including Consulting and Application Management
• Participate in workshops and present solutions to customers
• Travel to customer sites as required within the region

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of strong experience in UK operational payroll
• Very good understanding of Workday Payroll and specialist capabilities
• Proven customer focus with experience in customer-facing consulting environments
• Clear and effective communication skills, able to engage with credibility and empathy in remote and in-person settings
• Ability to work within remote teams and independently with no supervision
• Strong planning and organizational skills with consistent ability to meet deadlines
• Commitment to high quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Understanding of confidentiality, non-disclosure policies, and information security
• Willingness to learn in depth about international regulatory requirements

Desirable Qualifications:

• Workday HCM, Financials, or Payroll Certification
• Professional qualifications in your area of expertise
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project dynamics
• Consulting skills including presenting and facilitating workshops
