About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential mobile gaming client in Germany seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to shape the design vision for a high-traffic entertainment platform. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on design work, focusing on gamification, player engagement, and content discovery for millions of active users.
You'll lead a distributed design team while personally driving key product experiences. This is an opportunity to make measurable business impact through design decisions that balance user delight with growth objectives, all while integrating modern AI-assisted workflows to increase team velocity and output quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead user experience from conception to launch, developing and advocating the design vision for a top-tier entertainment application
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of product designers working across iOS, Android, and web platforms
- Build a culture of craft, collaboration, and continuous learning within the design organization
- Champion product design throughout the company, educating stakeholders and establishing design-led practices
- Drive measurable business outcomes through design decisions that balance player engagement and company growth
- Create user-centric designs, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for mobile applications
- Develop features that enhance the complete player journey, with emphasis on game discovery and loyalty gamification
- Build and evolve design guidelines and design system components
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions within technical constraints
- Apply iOS and Android platform best practices to ensure design quality and seamless interactions
- Transform research insights and analytics into actionable design concepts
- Identify opportunities where AI and automation can streamline design operations
- Establish and maintain effective design processes that scale with team growth
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years' experience leading a mobile product design team, ideally within entertainment or gaming
- Experience scaling or refining established design teams and processes
- Portfolio showcasing impactful mobile design work
- Proven expertise in gamification and user engagement design
- Expert proficiency in Figma
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to craft quality
- Fluent English communication, both written and spoken
Nice to Have:
- Background in loyalty or rewards platforms
- Mobile gaming experience
- Deep understanding of mobile gaming trends and the advertising landscape
