Engineering Manager, Growth

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing SaaS organization that is building out its Growth Engineering function. Our talent team is seeking an Engineering Manager, Growth to lead two engineering squads focused on product-led growth initiatives including activation, adoption, and monetization across the customer journey.

This is a remote position open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

In this role, you'll lead an established Growth squad while continuing to build out a second team, creating a unified engineering organization centered on experimentation, customer value, and measurable business outcomes. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to shape strategy and run high-quality experiments that drive real impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead two Growth engineering squads (Growth 1 and Growth 2) against a shared mission and roadmap
• Act as a strategic thought partner to Product, Design, Data, and Engineering Leadership, identifying technical opportunities and shaping roadmap priorities
• Optimize engineering execution by removing bottlenecks, sequencing work effectively, and ensuring teams deliver value with urgency
• Run structured experimentation programs that improve activation, adoption, conversion, engagement, or retention metrics
• Coach engineers on code quality, testing practices, observability, experimentation discipline, and product-minded engineering
• Translate experiment results, usage data, and customer insights into engineering priorities and roadmap recommendations
• Manage approximately 7 direct reports initially, developing engineers into exceptional growth engineers with strong analytical thinking and product intuition
• Foster a high-performing, accountable engineering culture where engineers solve customer problems and continuously improve
• Recruit, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or technical people leader
• Proven experience leading engineering organizations focused on product-led growth, experimentation, onboarding, activation, or conversion optimization
• Deep experience designing and operating experimentation programs, including A/B testing, guardrail metrics, statistical significance, and experiment analysis
• Hands-on familiarity with analytics and event-data tooling such as Snowflake, Segment, GrowthBook, or similar platforms
• Experience coaching engineers on experimentation, engineering quality, execution speed, and long-term maintainability
• Experience partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Analytics as a strategic thought partner
• Experience managing SaaS web application engineering teams; Ruby on Rails and React experience preferred
• Strong track record of developing engineers, setting clear expectations, and delivering measurable outcomes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Engineering leader who believes great teams are measured by customer and business outcomes, not just features shipped
• Data fluency with understanding of event instrumentation, product analytics, and experimentation platforms
