Graphic Design Mentor CZ

Academy of Digital Industries seeks a seasoned graphic designer to mentor students in our Design Foundations course as a remote-based freelance educator, helping the next generation of digital professionals master contemporary design principles and tools.

What This Role Involves

You'll be the guiding force behind our Design Foundations program, delivering expert instruction to students who are building careers in digital design. Your role centers on teaching core design concepts—from typography and color theory to layout, composition, and visual hierarchy—while integrating contemporary approaches that include AI-assisted creative workflows. Through a blend of classroom teaching and online instruction, you'll combine theoretical grounding with hands-on project work, ensuring students graduate with both conceptual understanding and portfolio-ready skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate dynamic workshops covering design fundamentals, delivered in both synchronous and asynchronous formats
• Share real-world expertise from your graphic design career, drawing on project experience to illustrate key concepts
• Guide and mentor students individually and in groups throughout their coursework
• Build an inclusive, collaborative learning environment that encourages experimentation and peer knowledge-sharing
• Incorporate emerging tools, trends, and best practices—particularly AI-driven design technologies—into your teaching materials
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback that strengthens their creative and technical capabilities

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a working graphic designer with a portfolio demonstrating design excellence
• Strong grasp of visual design principles: typography, color application, composition, and information hierarchy
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software and emerging AI design tools
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or training others in design or creative disciplines
• Excellent communicator able to articulate complex design concepts clearly
• Comfortable designing for multiple platforms and formats
