About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential aerospace organization in Canada that is expanding its engineering capabilities. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Air Systems / Pneumatics Engineer to join their technical programs spanning both new development and sustaining initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple air system disciplines including environmental control, cabin pressure management, ice protection, bleed air, fire detection and suppression, oxygen delivery, window heating, and high/low pressure ducting systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and define systems specifications and requirements for assigned air systems and pneumatic components
- Ensure requirements validation and ongoing management throughout program lifecycle
- Manage integration and interfaces of assigned systems, coordinating with internal engineering groups and external suppliers
- Review and approve critical design documentation including vendor drawings, qualification test procedures, acceptance testing protocols, qualification reports, and certification documents
- Support development, qualification, and certification activities for air systems
- Participate in system-level testing and flight test programs as required
- Prepare technical compliance reports demonstrating conformance to applicable certification requirements
- Provide technical leadership across new product development and in-service sustaining programs
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Solid knowledge of air systems and pneumatic systems, including aircraft integration and certification processes
- Understanding of aircraft systems that interface with pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of TCCA, FAA, and EASA certification regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with environmental control systems, cabin pressure control, ice protection, bleed air, fire detection/suppression, oxygen systems, or window heating is highly valued
