Leiter:in Finanzbuchhaltung (w/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization in the Eisenach region seeking a hands-on leader for their finance accounting function. In this role, you will take ownership of the financial accounting operations while maintaining close involvement in day-to-day activities.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly and annual financial statements and balance sheets according to HGB standards
• Managing the general ledger and ongoing financial accounting operations
• Coordinating with subsidiary ledgers and performing account reconciliations
• Processing year-end closing entries, provisions, and accruals
• Recording fixed asset additions and disposals
• Overseeing and supporting payroll accounting activities
• Serving as liaison with tax advisors, auditors, tax authorities, and social insurance agencies
• Providing professional and disciplinary leadership to a team of two
• Developing and improving commercial processes and workflows
• Preparing management accounting reports and analyses
• Collaborating closely with executive leadership

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Commercial/accounting qualification or degree
• Several years of experience in financial and balance sheet accounting
• Strong knowledge of HGB accounting standards and year-end closing procedures
• Hands-on experience with general ledger and annual closing entries
• Structured, reliable working style with strong attention to detail
• Independence and confidence in decision-making
• Genuine interest in taking ownership and developing processes

Preferred qualifications:

• Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK), Steuerfachwirt, or comparable advanced certification
• Knowledge of payroll accounting
• Experience in a mid-sized manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with DATEV and ERP systems (proALPHA is used on-site)
• Prior leadership experience is welcomed but not required—what matters most is your technical expertise and readiness to step into a leadership role

This position offers flexibility with part-time options available from 30 hours per week, remote work by arrangement, and family-friendly scheduling within core business hours.
