About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential government contractor supporting critical operations at Fort Leavenworth, KS. Our talent team is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer with an active security clearance to join a program serving defense sector clients. This is a full-time position requiring on-site presence in Leavenworth County.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls and protocols in support of government operations
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities within mission-critical systems
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure systems meet federal security standards and requirements
• Document security procedures, findings, and remediation activities
• Support ongoing authorization and accreditation processes

What We're Looking For

• Active security clearance required – this is a cleared position supporting defense operations
• Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks in government or defense environments
• Knowledge of federal security standards (NIST, RMF, DISA STIGs)
• Strong understanding of network security, system hardening, and threat analysis
• Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder coordination
• Ability to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, KS
