About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the Dallas area seeking a Power BI Developer with deep finance domain expertise. This is not a general reporting role—our client needs someone who can bridge the gap between finance business requirements and technical implementation, delivering end-to-end analytics solutions that drive business adoption.
You'll work closely with finance stakeholders to translate complex business questions into actionable Power BI dashboards, leveraging enterprise data sources and ensuring rigorous validation and reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities
- Translate finance business questions into clear reporting requirements and technical specifications
- Design and build data models from enterprise systems including SAP and other financial platforms
- Develop sophisticated DAX calculations and business logic to support financial analytics
- Create interactive Power BI dashboards tailored to finance stakeholder needs
- Perform validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Drive business adoption by training users and refining dashboards based on feedback
- Partner with finance teams to identify opportunities for analytics-driven insights
What We're Looking For
- Strong Power BI development experience with proven expertise in DAX and data modeling
- Finance or accounting domain knowledge—you understand financial concepts, metrics, and reporting requirements
- Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise financial systems
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions independently
- Strong analytical skills with attention to data validation and reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with finance business users
- Experience driving user adoption of analytics solutions
- Located in or willing to work from the Irving/Dallas area
