Research Associate I

University Health Network is hiring a Research Associate I to join our research and education division in Toronto, ON. Role Overview

As a Research Associate I at University Health Network, you will support research initiatives that drive clinical discovery and educational advancement across our Toronto facilities. Working alongside researchers and clinicians, you'll manage administrative and operational aspects of research projects, helping to ensure their success and compliance with institutional standards. This is an ideal entry-level role for those beginning a career in healthcare research or academic settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on research support including data collection, organization, quality review, and preliminary analysis
• Assist with literature reviews, evidence synthesis, and research documentation
• Manage scheduling, communications, and administrative coordination for research activities
• Maintain accurate and compliant research records, databases, and documentation per institutional protocols
• Support preparation of research reports, summaries, and presentations
• Collaborate with research teams to meet project timelines and protocol requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a relevant field (life sciences, health sciences, psychology, or related discipline) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational ability and attention to detail in data handling and documentation
• Competence with standard office software and research databases
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently within research teams
• Commitment to learning research methodologies and maintaining institutional compliance standards
