Category Management – Future Leaders Graduate Program

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a graduate-level Category Manager to join their commercial team in Düsseldorf. In this role, you will work at the heart of product strategy, diving deep into data analytics, supporting supplier negotiations, and shaping the product assortment that delights customers.

• Market Understanding: Develop deep knowledge of your product category using internal data, customer feedback, and market trends
• Data-Driven Procurement: Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, and pricing data to select optimal products and implement innovative assortment strategies
• Process Management: Handle operational and administrative tasks in daily business, including product validation and data sheet review
• Supplier Relations: Prepare for discussions, support negotiations, and learn how to build successful partnerships
• Data Analysis: Evaluate data, identify patterns, and derive concrete optimization measures

What We're Looking For

• Completed or near-completion Master's degree (M.Sc.), ideally in business, economics, or an analytical field
• Initial practical experience in commercial, analytical, or product-oriented roles within FMCG or retail environments, including internships and student positions
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, strong analytical capabilities, and intuition for complex relationships
• Excellent self-organization skills and ability to work independently
• Strong communication abilities when interacting with colleagues, partners, and suppliers
• High willingness to learn and ability to quickly master new topics independently
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Willingness to work on-site four to five days per week in Düsseldorf
