Managing Director

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential professional services organization in Berlin seeking a Managing Director to lead commercial growth and strategic expansion. This is a senior leadership role combining external business development with internal operational authority.

In this position, you will:

• Drive revenue growth and new business development across target markets in Germany and Europe
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with organizations that expand market reach
• Own the tender and RFP pipeline from opportunity identification through proposal delivery
• Lead senior client relationships and maintain delivery standards for key accounts
• Develop cross-channel and product strategies, identifying and driving growth opportunities
• Partner with leadership on company positioning, product direction, and organizational strategy
• Lead and develop the team while championing internal digital transformation initiatives
• Progressively assume responsibility for finance, administration, and operational functions

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a commercially astute professional with a strong track record in business development from an agency, consultancy, or professional services environment.

Essential qualifications:

• Background at a leading agency, consultancy, or professional services firm with demonstrated experience in partnership development, account growth, and business winning
• Proven commercial instincts with ability to identify, develop, and close strategic opportunities
• Native-level German and fluent English—both languages are required
• Analytical mindset with hands-on, fast-moving work style
• Experience leveraging AI tools to drive business impact
• Entrepreneurial ambition suited to a lean, agile team environment (approximately 10 people)
• Strong interpersonal skills with enthusiasm and collaborative approach
