UX Designer:in – Werkstudium oder Pflichtpraktikum

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential EdTech startup developing digital career guidance solutions. As a UX Designer working student or intern, you will actively shape the user experience of products that connect students with their professional futures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Investigating existing product behavior and relevant technical frameworks
• Structuring problems and identifying key assumptions and uncertainties
• Developing, comparing, and evaluating different solution approaches
• Creating and testing prototypes with student users
• Translating insights into interaction design, UI, and concrete recommendations
• Documenting findings, trade-offs, and open questions in a clear, traceable manner
• Collaborating closely with technical leadership and engineers during implementation
• Challenging existing decisions and driving better solutions when more sensible directions emerge

The product combines conversational AI, personal profiles, recommendations, learning paths, and career opportunities. Every UX decision involves balancing data, AI behavior, technical constraints, user trust, and business requirements.

What We're Looking For

Our client's frontend is built with Flutter and Dart, and the backend uses Python and FastAPI. You won't need to be a software developer or write production code, but you should be curious and eager to work alongside engineers using modern development tools to understand repositories, documentation, API interfaces, and existing implementations.

Required qualifications:

• Experience independently guiding a product or interaction challenge from initial research through implementation
• Strong intuition for interaction and product design
• Practical experience with user research and usability testing
• Systems thinking and solid understanding of user flows, states, data, and edge cases
• Technical curiosity and willingness to understand complex product behavior
• Clear argumentation skills and courage to constructively challenge decisions
• Interest in using developer and AI-assisted tools to investigate product behavior and technical constraints
• Must be eligible for a Werkstudium (working student position) or Pflichtpraktikum (mandatory internship) in Germany
