About the Role

SGS is hiring a dedicated Environmental Monitoring Inspector for full-time work based in Callao. You'll deliver comprehensive environmental monitoring and field inspection services, collecting critical data and ensuring that industrial operations, construction sites, and facilities meet environmental standards and regulatory requirements. This role combines technical expertise with hands-on fieldwork to verify environmental performance and support our clients' sustainability goals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized environmental inspections at client sites throughout Callao
• Collect environmental samples and monitor air quality, water quality, soil conditions, and other key parameters
• Operate and maintain field testing equipment and monitoring instrumentation
• Document observations, measurements, and findings with precision and accuracy
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports that communicate results clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Verify compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and industry standards
• Coordinate with site personnel and management to address compliance findings

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in environmental science or engineering is valued
• Demonstrated experience in environmental monitoring, field inspection, or related environmental roles
• Knowledge of Peruvian environmental regulations and compliance frameworks
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in data collection and reporting
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection schedules
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather and terrain conditions
