Senior Software Engineer* Agentic AI

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software consultancy in München that delivers enterprise solutions across diverse industries. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Agentic AI to join client-facing projects.

You'll architect and implement AI-powered software solutions, building agentic workflows, RAG systems, and production-ready LLM integrations. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges while potentially leading project teams and mentoring colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions applying AI methods and tools throughout the development lifecycle, including LLMs, agentic frameworks, code generation, and test automation
• Build agentic workflows using tool-use/function calling, planner/executor patterns, and multi-agent architectures; define guardrails to ensure reliable system behavior
• Develop RAG and retrieval architectures, including embeddings, chunking strategies, and re-ranking; systematically evaluate quality and optimize for latency and cost
• Apply technical leadership within project teams when needed and share knowledge through training and mentorship
• Work directly with enterprise clients on consulting and software development engagements

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable discipline
• Deep, hands-on experience in software development using Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript
• Practical experience applying AI in software engineering contexts (e.g., Claude, Copilot)
• Knowledge of AI algorithms and ML fundamentals, including classification, clustering, and embeddings; ability to evaluate AI systems
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks (such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel), prompting techniques, and structured outputs
• Familiarity with agentic protocols like MCP and A2A
• Self-directed work style with active contribution to project team success
• Fluent German (minimum C1 level) and very good English (minimum B2 level)
