Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is hiring a Food Service Attendant III – Sanitation for our Food Service Department in Chicago, IL, US. This is a part-time, evening position supporting our healthcare facility's food service operations.

About the Role

As a Food Service Attendant III focused on sanitation, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest health and safety standards in our food service operations. Working during evening shifts, you'll ensure that all food preparation areas, equipment, and service surfaces meet strict sanitation protocols and regulatory compliance standards that are essential to caring for our patients and guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain food preparation surfaces, countertops, and cooking equipment according to health department standards and company protocols
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishware, glassware, utensils, and food service equipment during shift operations
• Monitor sanitation procedures throughout the food service area and address any issues immediately
• Restock cleaning supplies and food service materials as needed during evening operations
• Support food safety compliance by maintaining organized storage and proper waste disposal procedures
• Collaborate with food service team members to ensure smooth, efficient evening shift operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous food service or sanitation experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
• Capacity to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy food service equipment and supplies
• Flexibility to work evening shifts in a healthcare food service setting
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
