Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their Business Intelligence team in Düsseldorf. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including commercial, pricing, technology, product, marketing, and regional leadership to gather business requirements and translate them into BI solutions
  • Develop, own, and continuously enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that communicate key insights and performance metrics
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization across the business
  • Utilize statistical modeling methods to assess the potential impact of pricing strategies, marketing spend, inventory replenishment, and other commercial initiatives on profitability
  • Analyze data from diverse sources to gain insights into commercial strategies and market trends
  • Drive optimization and ongoing development of BI systems, tools, and infrastructure
  • Ensure scalable data architecture, seamless data integration, and efficient data processing

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Business Analytics or Data Analytics, ideally focused on commercial strategies
  • Strong educational or practical background in Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in exploratory data analysis with the ability to drive business impact from data-driven insights
  • Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and creating interactive dashboards and reports
  • Strong coding skills in SQL, Python, or R, along with relevant frameworks
  • Solid knowledge of common business intelligence software
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data, preferably on cloud-based platforms
  • In-depth understanding of pricing, commercial, and e-commerce KPIs and metrics, ideally within the e-commerce or retail industry
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, open-minded, and motivated mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas and effectively present insights to diverse audiences
