Senior Engineer (m/w/d) — On-Site & Vollzeit

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in München that is transforming how businesses access financing through digital solutions. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a small, experienced technical team with broad responsibility for mission-critical systems.

This is an on-site, full-time position based in München. You'll work closely with product teams, leadership, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, maintainable software solutions in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate reliable, maintainable production software systems
• Own important projects end-to-end—from problem definition through implementation and ongoing operations
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks, and translate business and product requirements into effective, pragmatic technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with product teams, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor other developers and help evolve technical standards and working practices

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, clear prioritization skills, and the ability to drive work independently to completion
• Curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies and domains independently
• Solid foundation in software engineering with hands-on experience developing and operating production systems
• Ability and willingness to work primarily on-site at the München office

Preferred:

• Professional German language skills
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, AWS, Docker, Node.js, React, GraphQL, serverless or event-driven architectures
• Experience working in small teams with broad individual scope of responsibility
