Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential enterprise software client seeking a Senior Rust Developer based in Berlin. In this role, you will:
- Build new products and features within a distributed platform environment
- Develop new code primarily in Rust, while maintaining and working with existing Go and Ruby codebases
- Create proof-of-concept solutions in emerging technical areas, then drive them to production or make strategic decisions to pivot
- Work with globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones
What We're Looking For
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong experience writing, shipping, and maintaining Rust code (2+ years required)
- Experience with other programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript, or Java
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multiprocessing, and memory management
- Proven experience developing high-performance asynchronous applications with Rust (tokio experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and networking stacks
- Good understanding of database technologies, including both traditional relational databases and modern NoSQL solutions
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tooling
- Understanding of Linux environments
Valued Additional Experience:
- Golang or Ruby knowledge
- Experience working with WebAssembly (WASM)
- Open source contributions

- Spoken English sufficient for technical interviews and daily collaboration with international colleagues
- Result-oriented problem solver who takes initiative
- Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions rather than waiting for direction
