SAP Integration Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential conversational AI organization that is scaling rapidly within the enterprise software ecosystem. Our talent team has been engaged to find an SAP Integration Architect who will play a foundational role in building technical bridges between cutting-edge AI platforms and SAP environments. This is a remote position that requires fluency in both English and German, with occasional travel for client engagements.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will architect and implement SAP integration solutions that connect conversational AI capabilities with enterprise SAP ecosystems. Your work will span cloud and on-premise environments, touching SAP CX applications, SAP BTP, SAP Business AI, and digital core systems including SAP S/4HANA and ECC.

• Design and architect SAP integration and orchestration solutions across AI platforms, SAP estates, and non-SAP applications
• Drive full project lifecycle delivery including discovery, build, test, and go-live phases
• Implement integrations and automation workflows using SAP BTP (Integration Suite including SAP CI, Event Mesh, API Management, Integration Advisor, Open Connectors) and legacy ESB platforms like SAP PI/PO
• Apply deep technical knowledge of SAP OData and REST APIs, SOAP WebServices, RFMs/BAPIs, and ALE/IDocs, including extensibility, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Leverage hands-on experience with SAP Business AI components such as SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, and agent frameworks to support AI-powered integration scenarios
• Lead discovery workshops and architecture discussions with enterprise clients as the trusted SAP integration expert
• Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams, providing guidance and enablement to non-SAP specialists
• Develop accelerators, reference architectures, and playbooks that improve delivery repeatability and scalability

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP integration development and architecture, including technical consulting and delivering scalable integrations in live enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite: analyzing standard integration packages and designing custom end-to-end solutions across SAP CI, Event Mesh, API Management, and Open Connectors
• Initial field experience with SAP's AI stack (SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, SAP Joule) and interoperability standards like MCP
• Foundational SAP ABAP knowledge and solid Groovy scripting skills
• Consulting or advisory experience guiding enterprise customers, partners, or systems integrators through solution discovery and architecture discussions
• Project and stakeholder management skills with a track record of meeting milestones and communicating effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative, results orientation, and ability to identify opportunities for impact
• Ability to travel for key client moments including discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and go-lives
• Fluent business English and German required

Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to Large Language Models and conversational design for effective prompt engineering
• Familiarity with customer contact center technologies, telephony, and enterprise CX platforms
• Knowledge of SAP architecture frameworks (Clean Core, ISA-M, Extensibility Framework)
• Experience with SAP CX and CRM solutions such as SAP Service Cloud or SAP Sales Cloud
• CAP development experience on SAP BTP
• Experience integrating non-SAP ERPs (MS Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite) and CRM/HCM systems (Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow)
• Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes; programming in Python, SQL, or TypeScript/Node.js
• Knowledge of SAP data and analytics (SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Experience working with SAP system integrators or within the SAP partner ecosystem
• Experience in fast-paced startup or high-growth enterprise software environments
