About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential logistics software organization seeking a Java Software Developer for their location in Meerbusch. In this role, you'll work within a self-organized, agile team on enterprise-level transport management systems covering air freight, sea freight, and customs logistics.

This is a full-time position offering hybrid work arrangements with remote options available.

Responsibilities

• Implement international customer requirements for air freight modules, translating user needs into technical concepts, architecture, and working applications
• Execute all phases of the development lifecycle independently—from technical design through implementation, testing, and documentation
• Work on both software development and database-related tasks with full ownership
• Research current technologies and evaluate emerging trends for product evolution
• Contribute to cloud architecture decisions and implementation

What We're Looking For

• Passion for software development; interest in logistics and freight forwarding is a plus
• Minimum three years of professional experience in Java environments
• Hands-on experience with Java EE, JMS, Web Services, Hibernate, and SQL databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and container technologies
• Good English language skills
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style that makes you a valuable team contributor
