Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Head Chef to oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership at our Westerham location. You'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, whilst managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, and ensuring consistent delivery of meals that delight our customers every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus and oversee all food preparation, cooking, and plating to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the kitchen team to meet performance targets and maintain a positive working environment
• Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene, health and safety regulations, and best practice standards
• Manage food costs, waste reduction, and supplier relationships to optimise kitchen efficiency
• Monitor inventory and place orders to ensure adequate stock levels at all times
• Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and operational procedures
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience working as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a busy kitchen environment
• In-depth knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop kitchen teams
• Strong organisational and time management abilities under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications in food preparation or hospitality management (preferred)
• Passion for delivering exceptional food and creating memorable guest experiences
