Vice President, Scaled Demand Generation

Freshworks is hiring a Vice President, Scaled Demand Generation to lead revenue-driving marketing initiatives in San Mateo, CA. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to senior leadership and accountable for building a world-class demand generation organization that fuels predictable pipeline growth and customer acquisition.

Position Summary

As Vice President of Scaled Demand Generation, you will own the strategic vision and execution of comprehensive demand generation programs designed to drive qualified pipeline across all customer segments. This leadership role requires deep expertise in modern marketing technology, go-to-market strategy, and team building. You'll establish processes and methodologies that scale as the company grows, directly influencing revenue outcomes and market positioning in the competitive software industry.

Core Duties

• Design and implement scaled demand generation strategies that support aggressive revenue targets and market expansion
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing demand generation team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Oversee marketing automation, lead scoring, nurture campaigns, and conversion optimization to maximize pipeline quality and quantity
• Collaborate closely with sales leadership to align messaging, timing, and channel strategy; regularly review pipeline metrics and forecast accuracy
• Manage demand generation budget and demonstrate clear ROI on marketing investments through rigorous analytics and reporting
• Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging marketing technologies and tools that enhance team efficiency and campaign effectiveness
• Direct integrated campaigns across digital, content, events, and partnership channels
• Establish key performance indicators, track progress toward goals, and communicate outcomes to executive leadership

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive demand generation, marketing, or go-to-market experience, with at least 3 years in a VP-level or equivalent leadership role
• Proven track record building and scaling teams, with demonstrated success in talent development and retention
• Deep proficiency with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution ability; comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Exceptional ability to influence across functions and communicate complex strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong understanding of B2B SaaS metrics, pipeline management, and revenue operations alignment
