As a Fresh Pasta Prep Cook at Eataly Downtown in New York, you'll be part of a dynamic culinary team dedicated to producing high-quality fresh pasta daily. This hands-on role combines traditional Italian pasta-making techniques with modern food production standards. You'll work in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential. This full-time position offers the opportunity to develop your pasta production skills while contributing to Eataly's renowned Italian food experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh pasta dough and shape pasta products including ravioli, fettuccine, pappardelle, and other varieties according to recipes and quality standards
• Maintain ingredient inventory and prepare mise en place for pasta production
• Operate pasta-making equipment and tools with precision and safety
• Ensure all food handling meets health and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and kitchen production area
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet daily production goals
• Follow portion control and recipe specifications consistently

Requirements

• Experience working in a professional kitchen or food production environment (entry to intermediate level)
• Knowledge of pasta preparation techniques, or willingness to develop skills on the job
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting tasks regularly
• Excellent hygiene and food safety awareness
• Reliable, punctual, and collaborative work ethic
• Physical stamina for a demanding kitchen environment
