CIMA+ is seeking a skilled System Administrator with expertise in GitHub platform management and DevSecOps practices for our Montreal, Quebec office. This is a full-time remote position ideal for an experienced IT professional ready to ensure secure, scalable infrastructure and continuous deployment pipelines.
Role Overview
As System Administrator for GitHub Platform & DevSecOps at CIMA+, you'll manage and optimize our GitHub environments while implementing security-first infrastructure practices. You'll support development teams, automate deployment processes, and maintain compliance across our systems, playing a critical role in our digital transformation and security posture.
Core Duties
- Administer and maintain GitHub Enterprise or GitHub Cloud environments, including user access, organizational settings, and repository governance
- Design and implement DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Monitor system performance, security logs, and application health; respond to incidents and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with development and security teams to embed security controls throughout the development lifecycle
- Manage containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure services; ensure high availability and disaster recovery
- Document systems, processes, and configurations; maintain knowledge bases and runbooks
- Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency and system resilience
What You Bring
- Proven experience administering GitHub (Cloud or Enterprise) in production environments
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid)
- Understanding of security best practices, identity management, and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Go)
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
