Senior Product Manager, Life Insurance Products

Our talent team is representing a confidential life insurance technology organization seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in life insurance products. We're looking for someone who has lived and breathed the life insurance lifecycle—from product design through policy administration—and can drive innovation while maintaining operational excellence. You'll work at the intersection of technology and insurance, partnering with carriers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver accessible, customer-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of life insurance products including Whole Life, Permanent Life, Term, Indexed Universal Life, Final Expense, Disability Insurance, and riders
• Collaborate with carrier partners to implement new products and ensure seamless integration across the product ecosystem
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and third parties to optimize policy administration systems throughout the insurance lifecycle
• Integrate policy administration and carrier systems to ensure smooth implementation, data flow, and operational efficiency
• Leverage ACORD standards to enable standardized data exchange, alignment, and compliance across systems
• Analyze new product opportunities and distribution channels to ensure offerings meet customer needs while delivering business value
• Develop and integrate eApplication systems to simplify the application process and improve customer experience
• Support policy contract creation systems for accurate, efficient, and compliant document generation
• Create clear medium- and long-term vision for specific product areas
• Drive product discovery processes using experiments to validate hypotheses quickly and effectively
• Optimize the product portfolio with focus on accessibility, simplicity, and business impact

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of product management experience with proven track record launching life insurance products
• Strong knowledge of the complete life insurance lifecycle including policy administration systems, underwriting, and policy issuance
• Experience with ACORD standards for insurance data exchange and process alignment
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining eApplication systems
• Proficiency in policy contract creation systems ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Experience integrating policy administration systems and carrier systems to support seamless workflows
• Familiarity with life insurance illustration platforms
• Strong analytical skills to identify and evaluate product opportunities and distribution channels aligned with customer needs and business goals
• Demonstrated ability to scale and optimize products, driving usage and customer satisfaction
• Growth mindset with focus on experimentation, data analysis, and delivering results
• Understanding of current product best practices with forward-thinking perspective on product development
• Ability to make impact in fast-paced environment with sense of urgency
