Senior Data Scientist – Product

Our client has built an AI-native platform trusted by over 1,000 customers across 50+ countries, including leading law firms and financial institutions. With $100M+ in ARR and teams across multiple continents, they continue to expand rapidly through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

As a Senior Data Scientist for Product, you will turn data into decisions that directly shape the business. You'll work end-to-end: defining the metric, modeling the data, running the analysis, and making the recommendation. This is not a role where you hand off your work—you'll see it through to impact.

Our talent team is seeking someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings genuine depth in at least one area while remaining competent across the broader data science landscape. You'll partner directly with leaders across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market functions—most of whom are data-fluent and will work alongside you in SQL.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across Product, Finance, GTM, Growth, and other functions to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and clear, actionable recommendations
• Define the metrics that matter, design experiments or analyses to test them, and measure the impact of what ships
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on critical business questions and proactively surface insights that others haven't yet asked for
• Model data in dbt, pulling in new sources as needed, and collaborate with data engineering on anything requiring scale beyond your immediate use case
• Build dashboards and reporting infrastructure that enables self-service across the organization
• Help shape how the data team operates as the company scales: standards, tooling, and ways of working
• Depending on your strengths, you may be embedded primarily with Product (instrumentation, feature adoption, A/B testing), Finance & RevOps (ARR, forecasting, pricing analytics), Growth & Marketing (acquisition funnels, attribution, campaign measurement), or GTM & Customer Success (pipeline analytics, customer health, retention drivers)

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Solid grasp of data modeling and what it takes to build analytical work that is reliable and trusted
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence decisions through data storytelling, including the ability to push back when data doesn't support a preferred direction
• Genuine depth in at least one of the following areas, with competence across the rest:
  • Data modeling and analytics engineering (dbt, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, self-service)
  • Experimentation and causal inference (A/B test design, quasi-experiments, statistical rigor)
  • Machine learning and applied data science (forecasting, prediction, segmentation, evaluation)
  • Product analytics and metric design (funnels, cohorts, adoption frameworks, North Star metrics)
• Thrives in fast-paced environments where answers aren't always clear and processes are still being built
• Domain-curious and excited to work across different parts of the business
• "Gets stuff done" mindset—understanding that building something exceptional requires hard work and isn't always glamorous

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a product-led or SaaS environment, ideally B2B
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Hex, or Dagster
• Prior experience as an early data hire at a fast-growing company—you've built the muscle, not inherited it
