Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Junior Controller / Junior Finance Manager for their Düsseldorf location. This role offers exceptional development potential for the right candidate.

As a full member of the management team, you will balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational work:

• Work actively in day-to-day accounting, controlling, and cost accounting operations while participating in management-level strategic discussions
• Gradually assume technical and disciplinary responsibility for the finance team across two German locations, growing into a team leadership role
• Provide advisory support to executive leadership on investments, pricing calculations, and ad-hoc financial analyses through comprehensive data analysis
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal corporate guidelines, including US-GAAP and SOX standards
• Contribute significantly to reporting and preparation of financial statements
• Drive modernization, standardization, and simplification of internal processes and systems in close cooperation with IT and global teams

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Business Administration with a clear focus on controlling and accounting
• Relevant professional experience in controlling, as well as calculation and analysis of standard costs
• Strong hands-on mentality – you understand that this role requires active participation, not just delegation
• High development potential and genuine desire to grow into a leadership position; prior leadership experience is a plus but not required
• Proficient use of MS Office; experience with BI solutions and Oracle ERP system is advantageous
• Strong affinity for numbers, analytical thinking, and a structured, independent working style
• German and English language skills at negotiation level
• Availability: Notice period significantly under 6 months is a strong advantage for this placement
