Sr. Pipeline Designer

Gulf Interstate is hiring a Senior Pipeline Designer in Briar Meadow, Houston, to lead the design and engineering of critical pipeline infrastructure projects serving the global energy industry. This is a full-time position for an experienced engineer ready to bring technical expertise and strategic thinking to complex project cycles.

About This Position

As a Senior Pipeline Designer at Gulf Interstate, you'll take on a key role in developing technical solutions for pipeline systems that support energy infrastructure across multiple markets. Your work will directly impact project success from conception through implementation, collaborating with diverse teams to translate business requirements into robust engineering designs.

What You'll Do

• Design and engineer pipeline systems, creating detailed technical specifications and drawings that meet industry standards and client requirements
• Lead technical assessments and feasibility studies for pipeline projects, identifying optimal routing and configurations
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, construction, and stakeholder teams to ensure designs integrate seamlessly across the complete project lifecycle
• Develop and refine technical documentation, including calculations, CAD deliverables, and specifications for bid and construction phases
• Apply industry best practices and regulatory standards to all design work, ensuring compliance and reliability
• Support business development efforts by contributing technical expertise to proposal preparation and project scoping

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 7–10 years of professional pipeline design and engineering experience
• Proficiency with CAD software and pipeline design tools
• Strong knowledge of pipeline standards, codes, and regulatory frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
