Senior Litigation Analyst

The Hartford is hiring a Senior Litigation Analyst for our Legal team in Douglas, Juneau. This is a full-time position supporting our insurance litigation operations across the company.

Role Overview

As a Senior Litigation Analyst, you'll serve as a critical operational professional supporting The Hartford's legal counsel in managing insurance claims disputes and litigation matters. You'll work on complex cases from inception through resolution, providing analytical support, research, and strategic insight that directly influence case outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of legal strategy and operational execution, requiring someone who thinks analytically and communicates clearly under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze litigation files, claims documentation, and legal pleadings to identify key issues and support counsel's case strategy
• Conduct legal research on coverage questions, policy language interpretation, and relevant case law to inform litigation decisions
• Organize and summarize discovery materials, deposition transcripts, and expert reports for attorney review
• Prepare litigation expense analyses, damage calculations, and reserves recommendations
• Communicate with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and adjusters to coordinate case activities and timelines
• Maintain detailed case documentation, tracking deadlines and litigation milestones to ensure timely compliance

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in law, business, paralegal studies, or related field; paralegal certification is a plus
• 3+ years of litigation support, insurance claims analysis, or legal operations experience
• Strong legal research and writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and insurance policy fundamentals
• Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings clearly to non-legal audiences
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
