About this role & career path

Experience handling professional or specialty liability claims at a large carrier like The Hartford can build depth in coverage analysis, litigation oversight, and niche PL lines—skills that transfer across commercial claims and specialty insurance roles.

Build the skills for this role

Strengthen accounting fluency that supports professional-liability claim judgment:

Be ready to walk through a sample accountants’ E&O or professional-liability claim: coverage triggers, reservation of rights, investigation steps, and how you partner with defense counsel. Know The Hartford’s P&C focus and how specialty claims differ from personal-lines handling.

Strong fit if you already manage or support complex liability claims and can speak clearly about professional services risk. Less ideal if you lack claims or coverage experience and want a fully remote role.
