About the Role

As Senior Litigation Analyst, you'll be a core member of The Hartford's in-house legal team, working on a diverse portfolio of insurance litigation matters. You'll combine legal knowledge with analytical rigor to evaluate claims, assess litigation risk, and support attorneys throughout the case lifecycle—from initial filing through resolution.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze claim files, litigation documentation, and discovery materials to identify key facts and legal issues
  • Prepare case summaries, timelines, and analytical reports that inform litigation strategy
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, claims adjusters, and internal stakeholders to manage case workflows and deadlines
  • Evaluate settlement proposals and damages calculations; provide recommendations on case valuations
  • Conduct legal research on coverage questions, liability trends, and case law relevant to pending matters
  • Track and organize litigation data, evidence, and correspondence to ensure compliance and efficient case management
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, deposition summaries, and expert report analysis

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of litigation support, legal analysis, or claims management experience in an insurance or law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of insurance law, coverage, and litigation processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
  • Ability to summarize complex legal information clearly for non-lawyer stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; paralegal certification or JD preferred
